Since all classics students canonically write poetry, I also write poetry under the pseudonym duravirgo (which I’ll probably be retiring soon). I’m currently working on some more poetry that I hope to be releasing with translations of some of my favorite Latin poets. In Fall 2024, I took a class titled “Spectacle, Presence, & Poetry” at the School for Poetic Computation. My final for the class was notable entries from my daily journal that I typed into a text file. From there, the words were sorted alphabetically, and I provided a word count for the number of tokens of each word. You can read that poem, the token count, and information about the poem here.
