Hey! My name is Emily (they/them/theirs), and I’m a language nerd living in New York. Here I am giving a talk at WordHack in 2019.
I’m a linguist, classicist, and cruciverbalist. Most recently, I’ve worked as an analytical linguist at Microsoft Research (via Aquent) where I helped build out frameworks that can correctly identify and measure harmful language in large generative models. I’m looking for new work and would love to connect!
